Checking your work

Previewing a sequence

To help you check the progress of your painting operations, you can preview a sequence of drawings in animated form from the Painting window using the controls in the Jogging group box:

Use the buttons to play the sequence forwards or backwards and to pause the sequence.

To adjust the speed of the playback of your sequence, drag the slider bar until it displays the required frame rate.

Checking paint consistency through the sequence

When you have finished painting a drawing or the entire sequence, you can use the Track display mode to see where any single color has been applied. This is a particularly useful display when you use it with jogging to see an animated preview of the sequence.

As the sequence plays, you can easily see if the color you are tracking has been placed incorrectly in any of the drawings.

  1. Choose the color you want to check from the palette.
  1. Choose Track mode in the Painting window to highlight all the regions painted in the current color in the current drawing. In the Track display mode, the current color is shown as black wherever it occurs in the drawing, and all the other colors are shown as white:
  1. Finally, use the Jogging controls to jog through the drawings.
